I have a BA degree from UMass Amherst in early childhood education with a focus on teaching through art and science.  I've been living on Nantucket with my husband since June of 2002. I've created several programs for children including Cosmic Creations, an art/science after-school class, and educational birthday parties. In the summer of 2004, I launched Seafari Girls and have been running the program every summer since then. Most recently, my husband and I built our own school called  Exploration Station. It hosts a preschool program during the school year and Seafari Girls in the summer. I love spending time with kids because they are the truest form of people with endless love, creativity, and open minds.

For those I’ve yet to meet, welcome! And for those I’ve met before, welcome back! This will be my 5th year at Seafari Girls and I can already tell by the look of it, this will be one of our most epic summers so far! Born and raised on the dunes of Nantucket Island, I love biking, storytelling, and musical theatre. For the past two years I’ve worked as a teacher at a Reggio Emilia-based preschool and this upcoming fall I will be going to school for massage therapy. Until that time comes, I will be kicking it with the Seafari Girls and after 5 years I still can’t think of a better way to spend my summer!
